When your Realtor enters your listing into the RMLS, it's supposed to syndicate to other websites such as Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com, etc. But there may sometimes be disparities between the online sites, the tax record, and the multiple listing service.

Make sure you are logging onto those sites when your house is first listed to double-check all the facts, and if there is an issue, let your Realtor know as soon as possible. Buyers really count on that information is correct in order to make the decision to view your home, so be sure to work with a Realtor that you can rely on to stay on top of the details.

While that may sound like a daunting experience, it is easier now than ever before to complete transactions online, even buying a house. 3D virtual tours allow more access to those who may be disabled or out-of-town buyers who don't want to spend money unnecessarily flying back and forth to view homes. You do need an agent that you trust to be your advocate, view the homes for you, verify that everything looks the same in person as it does online, and communicate things to you that maybe weren't included in the virtual tour, like the landscaping, the neighborhood, etc.
